The Center Stage Elite is a select group of dancers from CSDA who represent the studio to the public.  It is comprised of approximately 17 dancers ages 6 and up.  The CS Elite has won many awards at various competitions around the Midwest area.  They also participate in local talent shows, parades, and community events.  The Elite's main focus is to strengthen dancers who wish to take their ability to another level through performing.  In addition, they learn to work as a team, develop lasting relationships with their peers, and give back to the community.  Members spend the year rehearsing, performing, and attending professional dance events.  Being a member of the Elite is a wonderful experience and honor.  Dancers develop life long friendships and share lifetime experiences.  This group is for dedicated CSDA dancers who love to perform and want to improve their skills! Hi, I’m Maleigha Miller.  I have been dancing for 9 years.  My favorite style of dance is lyrical because you can do a happy or a sad dance.  I am in the Elite group.  I dance the styles of lyrical, tap, jazz, and ballet.  I have been dancing with the seniors since I was 10!  I love to dance with my friends!  Dance is my life! Hi, I’m Zach Fensler.  I am eleven years old and have been at Center Stage for three years now.  My favorite style of dance is tap because it is fast paced and fun to do.  I had the opportunity this year to dance at a National Competition in Chicago and take a three day intensive dance class.  I am doing a solo this year for the first time and am very excited.  I am taking classes at New American Youth Ballet this year, so added to ballet, lyrical, jazz, tap, technique, and production numbers at CSDA....I will have a busy, yet fun and rewarding year! Hi, my name is Baylee Shively.  I am 13 years old and have been dancing for 7 years.  My favorite type of dance is jazz.  This is my favorite type of dance because you can show everyone how sassy you really are!  I also do tap, ballet, and lyrical.  I love to dance because it is fun and worth every minute you spend practicing or showing off what you got at competition! My name is Shelby Oswald and I’ve been dancing at Center Stage Dance Academy for 7 years.  The styles of dance I do are tap, ballet, lyrical, and jazz.  I have to say lyrical is my favorite because I can express myself in each movement.  This last year I attended New American Youth Ballet Conservatory.  I auditioned summer of 2010 and was awarded a full scholarship.  Although I will not be attending this year, I did improve a large amount! Hello my name is Haley Mikel. I have been dancing for 9 going on 10 years! My favorite dance is Lyrical.  The reason why lyrical is my favorite is because of the way you can put emotion into your dancing. Dance is my get away from life ,its my safe place where I can show the world the real me!I have danced almost every type of dance except for Hip-Hip and Pointe. My ultimate goal is to be on pointe before I’m done dancing!  I will keep dancing for the rest of my life! My name is Kaylee MIller and I’ve been in dance for 11 years.  My favorite style of dance is lyrical.  I like lyrical because you can express yoru feelings.  I am a part of the Elite group at Center Stage.   I enjoy dancing with my sister and friends.  I love going to competitions and winning BIG prizes!  Dance is my life! Hi, my name is Sierra and I am going into 5th grade.  This is my fifth year of dance and my first year of Elite.  I’m so excited about my first year of Elite because this is something new to me.  I will get to travel and meet new friends.  I am in Jazz, Ballet, and Tap! My name is Paige Parrish. I’m 6 years old and attend Arcola Elementary school.  I started dancing when I was 3 years old.  My first 2 years of dance I took a tap and ballet combo class.  After that I had one year of tap and ballet.  My favorite type of dance so far is tap.  I love the cool sounds my taps make while I am dancing.  I can’t wait to take other styles of dance and really look forward to this dance season! My name is Erin and I have been dancing since I was nine years old.  I love going to conventions and competing.  I am currently taking many classes at Center Stage, including: Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Lyrical, which is my favorite. In 2010, I started teaching at Center Stage Dance Academy as an Assistant Teacher.  I’ve been dancing for 6 years.  My favorite styles of dance are tap and lyrical.  I love to dance because it’s fun and I’m energetic and I can get away from school work and just have fun.  Center stage has awesome teachers for ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, and technique. Hi, I’m Morgan Sawyer.  I have been dancing at Center Stage for 7 years.  My favorite kind of dance is lyrical because you can do a happy and sad dances.  I am in the Elite Group.  I dance all kinds of styles of dance like lyrical, jazz, ballet, and tap.  Also, I love to dance with my friends! Hi, I’m McKenna Fensler.  I am nine years old and this is my 6th year of dance here at Center Stage.  My favorite style of dance is lyrical because it is smooth and soft.  This is my fourth year in Elite.  I have done many solos and duets as well as all of the other Elite Classes.  I will be taking extra classes at New American Youth Ballet this year as well as tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, technique and the production numbers at CSDA.  I competed at a National Competition in Chicago this summer and was chosen as a Dancer of the year semi-finalist.  I love to dance because I get to meet new friends and learn new routines! Hey, I’m Kailey Eminger, an Elite Dancer.  At CSDA I’ve learned to dance, made great friends, and have gotten to work with the best teachers.  This will be my third year as an Elite Dancer.  Going to competitions is awesome!  We always have lots of fun.  This will be my 7th year for tap, 4th for ballet, 3rd for lyrical and 2nd for jazz. I’m looking forward to a great year at dance! Hello, My name is Hailey. I am 7 years old and a 2nd grader at Albion Elementary.  This will be my 4th year dancing and my 2nd year in the Elite.  I’ve studied lyrical, jazz, and ballet.  This year I am also going to take tap.  Jazz is my favorite type of dance.  My goal for this year is to continue working hard so I will continue to improve and become the best dancer I can be.  I also can’t wait to travel to competitions and earn lots of trophies and medals with all of my friends.
