Snapshot C WE OFFER GIFT CERTIFICATES Center Stage Elite The Center Stage Elite is a select group of dancers from CSDA, who represent the studio to the public. It is comprised of approximately 17 dancers ages 6 and up. The CSDA Elite has won many awards at various competitions around the midwest area. They also participate in local talent shows, parades, and community events. The Elite’s main focus is to strengthen dancers who wish to take their ability to another level through performing. In addition, they learn to work as a team, develop lasting relationships with their peers, and give back to the community. Members spend the year rehearsing, performing, and attending professional dance events. Being a member of the Elite is a wonderful experience and honor. Dancers develop life long friendships and share lifetime experiences. This group is for dedicated dancers who love to perform and want to improve their skills. Check out our 2012-13 Dancers

Baylee Shively Hey! I’m Erin Cole. I’ve been

dancing for 9 great years. I started

out taking recreational classes but

at age 12 began competing in many

styles. I am now an Elite Instructor

at CSDA after previous student

teaching. I love all styles of dance

so much that I cannot choose a

favorite, but I’ve taken and teach

classes in Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz,

Flamenco, Contemporary, and

Pointe . I hope to continue dancing

for many years to come.

Hey! Hey! My name is Shelby Lee

Oswald and I am 14 years old. I’ve

been dancing for 7 years. I’m super

passionate about dance and I’ve

taken it seriously since I started. I

was never sure where it would lead

me, but my hard work got me into a

ballet school my 7th grade year on a

full scholarship. Now this year at

CSDA, I am student teaching and

helping choreograph competition

numbers. I plan to keep dancing

and go far with it in my life.

P.S. A little bit about me, I love

green and purple and I’m super gitty

and bubbly and I always wear long

socks. Hi, my name is Baylee Shivley. I am

15 years old and have been dancing

for 8 years. My favorite type of

dance is jazz. This is my favorite

type because you can show

everyone how sassy you really are. I

also do Tap, Ballet, Pointe, and

Lyrical. I love dance because it is

fun and worth every minute you

second practicing or showing off

what you got at competition.

McKenna Fensler Hello, my name is Haley Mikel. This

is my 11th year dancing. I can

dance all types of dance, but I

prefer Ballet and Lyrical above all. I

have danced for 7 choreographers. I

am blessed to have studied under

each and every one of them. I have

competed for 8 years and I have

been to many conventions and

taken classes from some amazing

teachers. Dance has taught me that

you can do whatever you set your

mind to. Dance is a comfort zone for

almost everyone. I know it’s mine.

Dance has always been a huge part

of my life and always will be.

Hi, I’m Morgan Sawyer. I have been

dancing at Center Stage for 8 years.

Dance is my life. I do all styles of

dance. This year I am in Lyrical,

Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary,

Tap, and two Production numbers. I

am also doing a Ballet Solo and a

Jazz Solo. I have danced at

Nationals and won numerous high

scoring awards. My whole dance

career has been at CSDA, although

I have taken additional classes at

New American Youth Ballet and

Conservatory. I had the opportunity

to dance in the Indy 500 Parade as

well as the Walt Disney Christmas

Day Parade. We are all a huge

family here at Center Stage.

Hi, my name is McKenna Fensler. I

am ten years old and this is my 7th

year of dance here at Center Stage.

My favorite style of dance is Lyrical,

because it is smooth and soft. This is my 5th year in Elite. I have done

many solos and duets as well as all

of the Elite Classes. I have competed

at a National Competition and was

Chosen as a Dancer of the Year

Semi-Finalist. I did a duet with my

brother Zach and we won the Indiana

State Fair and Nationals with that

routine. I danced in the Indianapolis

500 Parade and also the Walt Disney

Christmas Day Parade, in Florida. I

have taken a Master Class from Abby

Lee Miller, from the show “Dance

Mom’s”. I have also supplemented

my training with classes at New

American Youth Ballet and

Conservatory. I love to dance

because I love meeting new people

and learning new routine.

Madison Storms

Hailey Przemielewski My name is Madison Storms. I love

horses, reading, and most of all

dance. This is my 4th year at

Center Stage and my 3rd year in

Elite. I have also taken gymnastics

to enhance my dancing skills and

strength. I have danced in the

Indianapolis 500 Parade, the Walt

Disney Christmas Day Parade, and

taken Master classes with Abby Lee

Miller. My goals this year are to do

well on my solos and duets. I also

want to master my forte turns.

Hi, I’m Zach Fensler. I am twelve

years old. This is my 4th yr at

Center Stage. My favorite style of

dance is tap because it is fast

paced and fun to do. I have had the

opportunity to dance at a National

Competition in Chicago, won the

Indiana State Fair, dance in the Indy

500 Parade and the Walt Disney

Christmas Day Parade, in Florida. I

have added to my dance training

with a year at New American Ballet

and Conservatory. I am doing two

solos this year. One in tap and my

first ever contemporary solo. I am

looking forward to the challenge.

Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Technique,

Strength and Core and two

production numbers round out my

schedule at CSDA.

Hi, my name is Hailey. I love to

dance at Center Stage. I’ve been

dancing for seven years and four

years in Elite. I love it because

every year new people come into

dance and we all make them feel

like they are at home. I do all types

of dance, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet,

and Technique class. I am also in

the Production Numbers and will be

doing another duet with Madison

Storms this year. My favorite type

of dance is Lyrical because I can

express myself. I have danced in

the Indianapolis 500 Parade as well

as at Walt Disney World in the

Christmas Day Parade.

Paige Parrish Hey, I am Kailey Eminger, an Elite

Dancer. I have been dancing for

seven years and this will be my

eighth. I love ALL styles of dance

so I can’t pick my favorite. I’m doing

a Ballet Solo this year and I am

super excited. This is my fourth

year on the Elite Competition Team.

I am taking Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet,

and Pointe. I have danced in the

Indy 500 Parade and the Walt

Disney Christmas Day Parade. I

love competing and seeing all of the

other dancers do their routines. I

am looking forward to a great dance

year.

Hi, my name is Sierra and I am

going into the 6th grade. This is my

sixth year of dance and my second

year of Elite. Dance is my favorite

thing to do. This year I will be in

Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and two

production numbers. I will also be

doing a solo this year. I have

danced in the Indy 500 Parade and

also the Walt Disney Christmas Day

Parade. My favorite dance is Jazz,

because I like the beat of the music.

I enjoy dancing with my friends and

my sister. I love going to

competitions because you can show everyone what dance really means

to you. Dance is life for me.

My name is Paige Parrish and I am

7 years old. I am in the 2nd grade.

I started dancing when I was 3 yrs

old. This is my 2nd year of Elite.

My favorite style of dance is lyrical

because it is ballet and Jazz mixed

together. My favorite things to do

are pageants, hanging out with my

friends and dance. This year I was

crowned Miss Huntertown Heritage.

Kailey DeWald Hi! I’m Courtney. This is my 11th

year dancing, but my first year at

Center Stage. I am really enjoying

it. This is also my first year in Elite.

The classes that I am taking are

Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical. This is a

learning year for me so I am hoping

to have fun and make the best of it.

Hi! I’m Abby! This is my fourth year

at CSDA. At CSDA I did Ballet for

two years and then Ballet and

Lyrical for one year. This year I will

be doing Elite Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz,

and Pointe. I really like Lyrical

because every movement that you

make has to be precise and perfect.

I’m kinda excited because this is my

first year of Elite. I really love being

able to dance along with the music,

and I’m really thankful I had the

opportunity to audition for Elite. I’m

looking forward to this year and I

think the hard work will pay off.

My name is Kailey DeWald. I am 7

years old and in the 2nd grade. This

is my 4th year of dance and my 1st

year in Elite. My favorite style of

dance is Tap. I like the way my feet

sound when I tap. My favorite

things are reading, dancing,

coloring, and being with my friends.

Braydon Shively Hi! My name is Emma Lewis and I

am 7 years old. As long as I can

remember, I have wanted to take

Ballet lessons. It wasn’t until I told

my mom that I didn’t want to play

soccer because you don’t dance in

soccer that she finally took me

seriously. This is my 3rd year taking

Ballet and my first year taking Jazz.

I love Ballet,but am having so much

fun in Jazz this year. I just can’t

decide which is my favorite. I am

enjoying the Elite classes this year

and I am making new friends too. I

also love being at home and playing

with my dog and cats.

I love to ride bikes, play with my

friends, but most of all I love to

dance. I’ve taken dance for 5 years.

I’ve taken Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. My

favorite is Tap because it have a

nice beat to it and it’s fast. This is

my first year in Elite.

My name is Braydon Shively. I am

seventeen years old and play

football. I am a running back and a

line backer. I have played football

since I was in the 3rd grade. This is

my first year in Elite. I am glad that I

made the Elite team and I’m looking

forward to the rest of the year.
